Bursa’s home for a deep-rooted educational ideal
In his speech at the opening of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye on 1 November 1925, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk stated that private initiative was needed to reach the level desired in education. The institution founded in 1928 in line with this vision gained association status on 12 December 1939.
First named the Turkish Education Society (Türk Maarif Cemiyeti), it has been known as the Turkish Education Association (Türk Eğitim Derneği) since 1946. Article 2 of the Association’s charter states: “The President of the Republic is the high protector of the Turkish Education Association.”
As a civil society organization working in education, the Turkish Education Association supports the schooling of principled, thoughtful, and hardworking Turkish children who do not have sufficient financial means, and it contributes materially and academically to education in Türkiye.

TED Bursa College offers an English-weighted education in modern classrooms of 24 students. Alongside its academic work, it is a contemporary educational complex with social, artistic, cultural, sporting, and environmental dimensions.
Continuous education from kindergarten to high school
We offer learning environments suited to the development of each age group, and we treat our students’ academic, social, and personal growth as a whole.
TED Bursa College Kindergarten
Applicants who wish to attend kindergarten are offered a place, once they meet the age requirements, according to the outcome of a preliminary meeting and an interview.
- Age 4 (KG4): children who have completed 36 months
- Age 5 (KG5): children who have completed 48 months
- Age 6 preparatory group (K6): children who have completed 60 months
TED Bursa Primary and Middle School
Guided by the understanding that academic preparation alone is not enough, the school places importance on international programmes. In keeping with the philosophy of “education for life,” it adopts the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) as preparation for the IBO pathway.
TED Bursa High School
It is a private Anatolian high school in which some subjects are taught in English. It prepares students fully for the information and communication age, and offers the Diploma Programme (DP) within the International Baccalaureate.
The International Baccalaureate
First established in 1968 in Geneva, Switzerland, as a non-profit organization, the International Baccalaureate develops education programmes recognized around the world.
The IB Diploma Programme is a demanding two-year course for students aged 16 to 19. It supports them through inquiry-based learning and leads to an internationally recognized diploma.
IB students are chosen from among those who work with regularity and discipline, are highly motivated to learn, and are willing to research. The IB diploma is an important mark of academic credibility and intellectual thought. Completing the programme improves the chance of admission to universities in many countries, especially the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

TED Bursa College stands on 21. Yüzyıl Caddesi, in the Bademli Deresi area of Mürsel Village. Classes have an average of 24 students. The school occupies 27,000 m² beside a 3-hectare oak forest.
